The É«¿âtv, Art and Design includes the É«¿âtv of Architecture, Department of Art, Department of Building Construction Science and Department of Interior Design. The mission of the É«¿âtv, Art and Design is to promote and engage students and faculty in the following: conceptualization, craft, media and technology, history and theory, aesthetics, and ethical issues associated with making artifacts in the world.
Fifth Annual Brasfield and Gorrie Interdisciplinary Student Design Competition
The Brasfield & Gorrie Student Design Competition is an annual interdisciplinary design competition composed of teams of students from each department in the É«¿âtv, Art and Design at Mississippi State University. The goal of the competition is to help students start to overcome preconceived ideas of the roles traditionally assumed by the various disciplines in the college. It also gives further exposure to sustainability, innovation, and LEED construction principles.
Jackson Design Camp 2010
Documentary for the É«¿âtv, Art and Design's Jackson Community Design Center in Jackson, Mississippi. For two weeks in 2010, the JCDC did a day camp with teens from the Capitol Street Boys and Girls Club. This is their story.
